We all recognize Bob Barker from being the host of The Price Is Right, but he ventured into the world of films and television even before that. He also hosted Truth Or Consequences starting from 1956 to 1974.

After a career of 50 years, he finally took retirement in 2007. Getting older comes with its own issues though. He suffered from stroke twice, but being a celebrity with good health insurance, he must have overcome them.

Barker is also big on animal rights and advocating such. He has donated to advocacy groups in large amounts, even donating a hefty $5 million to a marine wildlife society! Just in 2010, Barker donated $2.5 million to PETA. His animal rights principles urged him so far as to even stop The Price Is Right from gifting out fur coats as prices. We bet a couple of prize winners will be disappointed about that!
