John Earnest Briggs, is famous as Johnny Briggs. He rose to fame with his portrayal of Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street, one of the most-watched soaps. He was a regular on the show between 1976 and 2006 and later on, from 2012.

Though he hasn’t been that lucky in his personal sphere, Briggs has earned quite an acclamation owing to his acting skills. Aside from that of Mike Baldwin, he has also played major roles in various other shows such as Thick as Thieves, The Saint, No Hiding Place, and Crossroads.

Briggs’ filmography includes Oliver Twist, The Last Escape, 633 Squadron, and The Office Party. As far as we know, the actor has accumulated some impressive wealth to ward off any financial hassles. He is right in his eighties, and we hope he is taking good care of his health. Briggs won the title of an MBE in the year 2007.
