Suffering From Gut Inflammation? Here are Some Tips that Can Come in Handy

Inflammation is the most common cause of chronic diseases. It can cause cells to deteriorate and can be a catalyst for conditions such as cancer, autoimmune dysfunction, and other disorders.

Inflammation, if it continues for a long time, can cause an imbalance of microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tracts while severely damaging the lining of the gut.  The resulting response of the immune system can lead to further damage and inflammation. However, some simple steps can help you in reducing the heat you feel in your gut.

Wash away toxins by drinking more water

Our body is exposed to toxins every day due to air pollutants, mold, heavy metals, and airborne pathogens that are always around us. Pesticides spray much of the foods. Plus, antibiotics and even sugars can cause inflammation. These toxins are behind inflammation and other major diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

Drinking more water can flush toxins, and it is useful in keeping the body hydrated too. Try drinking 2 to 3 liters of filtered water each day, and carry a water bottle with you everywhere. One of the healthiest ways is to add a squeeze of lemon juice in your water as it boosts immunity. Check your urine, as well. If it’s clear, then you are drinking sufficient water.

Exercise more to keep your detoxifying organs active

New research indicates that 20 minutes of daily exercise could help ease the pain that a person goes through due to inflammation. Physical activities can cause the person’s heart rate to increase, can maintain blood pressure and breathing rate, and as a result, the body releases hormones that activate immune cells. Inflammation is a necessary part of the human body, but too much inflammation can contribute to obesity, diabetes, or Cohn’s disease.

Add jogging, walking, swimming, and stretching to your daily routine. Any of these or combined will do. Do not sit for extended periods, and walk at least 10,000 steps a day. If you work at an office and work for long hours, get up every hour and make a short trip to your coworker’s station, or take a 1-minute walk.

Curcumin- the yellow remedy!

This bright orange spice is the most potent, natural, and anti-inflammatory antidote—especially for the gut—that the medical world has ever seen. Curcumin aids in the digestion of food by relaxing the walls of the stomach and helps in relieving the buildup of gas. It also helps in bloating as food is being broken down. A recent study concluded that curcumin is an effective means of curing intestinal fungal infections as well since a high amount of this spice has a potent antifungal effect.

The bottom line

A healthy diet with sufficient exercise and more water can reduce the inflammation that you feel in your gut. If you follow the steps mentioned above, you’ll dramatically decrease the number of harmful toxins in your body and will stay fit and fresh! Eat and drink healthy, go for a long walk, and stay young!
