A Relaxing Morning Isn’t Impossible – Here’s How To Start the Day off the Right Way
We all know how hard mornings can be. The morning routine, if you have one, is typically you and the members of the household all in a rush to get ready for the day. With everyone in a mad rush right from the moment, they wake up until they push themselves out of the house, it can get chaotic. If you feel that this is a norm now and the rest of your life will go in the same way too, you are wrong. While there’s not much you can do about how your day progresses; you can sure have a good start to it! Here are a few easy ways which will help you have a relaxing start for the day! Thus helping you have a productive and great day!
Get Rid of the Small Stuff
If you think carefully about what makes your mornings hectic, you will realize that its the little things that make the big difference. Therefore, it only makes sense to have fewer things to attend to in the morning. This will ensure that your mornings are smoother and less hectic. So try to take care of as much as you can the night before.
This will also help you sleep more comfortably, knowing that you have less to do in the morning. This means picking clothes and bags for the next day, preparing breakfast and packing lunch, you can also set the coffee pot.
There’s nothing like being jolted out of bed by a blaring alarm to mess up your entire morning. There are many different tones you can choose for your alarm instead of the irritating and standard alarm tone. Choose a song you like, or set the alarm to get louder gradually instead of suddenly. You could even wake up to sounds of nature. For instance, sounds of birds chirping, a waterfall, a thunderstorm, or the crashing waves of the ocean can be a great way to start the day!
Stretch it Out
Having a good stretch in the mornings is a beautiful way to help boost blood circulation. It helps the muscles to feel better after hours of remaining in the same posture. Simple stretches get the systems in the body up for the day. Experts advise that people should spend time stretching each body part and engage in deep breathing while doing so.
The moment you wake up, begin stretching right there on your bed or the floor next to your bed. You will be more at ease.
Music
Instead of switching on the news the minute, you get to the kitchen, play some relaxing music instead. The news is full of stressful information and alarming things. While it’s important to know what’s happening around the world, it’s not the right way to start your day. All the negativity filling up your morning is the last thing you want! Move your news slot to another part of the day and use your morning time to set the mood for the day. Compile a playlist if you don’t have one. Looking forward to playing this every morning will uplift your spirits and get through the morning feeling great! You could even wear headphones instead of playing the music loudly if you live with others who wake later than you do.
Enjoy A Cuppa
Take the time to enjoy that cup of tea or coffee that you have prepared. Don’t steal sips between getting dressed, packing the car, or chasing after the kids. If you wake up just five or ten minutes earlier than you usually do, you will be able to relax and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea. It’s a very satisfying way to start the day. It helps you take a few moments to connect and collect your thoughts. Don’t even look at your phone as you relax with that mug!
Adopting some of the tips will improve your morning routine. However, you need not do them all at once. Just pick the easiest ones and start incorporating them into your life so that you have a relaxing morning. Having a great morning routine that relaxes yet energizes you will help you look forward to rolling out of bed the next day. You will no longer dread waking up every time the alarm goes off! Start your day the perfect way!
