The Fish Face

This is a yoga pose that helps to tighten the cheek muscles to give them rigidity and tone them. This is all for the prevention of sagging in the cheek area. You simply perform it by smiling and pursing your lips, then sucking in your cheeks to make a ‘fish face,’ as you will probably remember from childhood.

Kiss the Ceiling

This face yoga pose is another easy-to-perform exercise. You begin by looking up at the ceiling, and pucker up your mouth as though you are kissing the ceiling. Hold this position for a five-second count and then relax and repeat. This exercise works to maintain a prominent jawline and high cheekbone definition. It also strengthens the muscles in the neck. It prevents the dreaded double chin!

Puffer Cheeks

This cheek firming exercise couldn’t be simpler, take a deep breath through your mouth, and puff the breath from cheek to cheek. The puffer cheek pose strengthens the cheek muscles and keeps them from tinning out.

Bye-Bye Crow’s Feet

The fine laugh lines that you get around the eye area as you age are what people call as crow’s feet. They format the corner of the eyes and are often one of the first wrinkles to appear on the face. This face yoga pose helps to prevent them from forming. Open your eyes wide as though you are surprised and then pull the skin back gently with the pad of your finger while you perform the exercise.

Baby Bird

The baby bird yoga pose is one that helps to prevent the skin of the chin and neck from sagging. Do it by pressing the tip of the tongue on the roof of your mouth and smiling. You should then point your chin at the ceiling in this pose. Swallow while keeping your tongue at the roof of your mouth. You should tilt to the left and swallow, and then tilt to the right and swallow. This prevents the formation of jowls.

You may look funny doing these exercises if you’re doing them at your office desk, but the benefits are worth it! Try these exercises out yourself, and if you see a difference, keep going!
