5 things this “Health-obsessed” CEO does to keep her health in check

Being a CEO of Hint Water is no easy job. Kara Goldin is CEO of this flavoured water brand and also hosts her podcast. Yet, she has to manage this and her four children. So, when asked for her new year’s resolution, she said she did not have anything huge planned. These big resolutions are time-consuming and just really overwhelming.

Instead, she has opted on staying on her same routine and just making slight changes to it. Even studies have found that few small goals are more achievable than large massive steps that often lead nowhere. It has been a while since this year started and she has started seeing magnificent improvement.

Limiting the use of phone

The first thing many of us do every morning is to check their phone. Kara, the CEO however, has decided to limit that. When she gets up, she uses her phone for only a limited amount of time to get updates about her work. This keeps her in the loop while at the same time does not get riled up with temptation to check it throughout the day. She is now trying to indulge in more family time by keeping her phone away in a separate room altogether when she is with them.

Eating the frog

The famous time management trick is doing the worst and most dreaded part of the day early in the morning. Kara practices it religiously but now it is just more health-related. She takes her dogs out early morning for a run which keeps her physically and mentally healthy.

Eat the real deal

She always starts her day with a smoothie featuring fruits and vegetables. The rest of her day, she gives herself enough to eat what she wants. But now avoids “fake-healthy” stuff- basically those foods that seem healthy but are high in sugar.

Make changes to routine

It is great how one can shift a daily task in a day if it does not get done on time. The stunning millionaire has decided to do the same thing. Instead of punishing herself in case something does not get completed, she is lenient on herself and makes necessary adjustments to do that task later on.

Give a boost to the creative part of your brain

It is often considered unhealthy to bring work home. However, sometimes it is necessary and cannot be avoided. Kara has come up with an excellent plan of working some when not working. She gives herself some quiet time for thinking and mind mapping after dinner when she is the most relaxed. Hence, able to come up with innovate ideas and better plans.
