Natural Remedies As An Alternative To Botox

Aging is a natural process, and it comes with its own beauty. On one hand, we gain experience, and on the other hand, our body undergoes certain physical changes. Though, with regular exercise and a healthy diet, the process of aging can be slowed down, but naturally, it can’t be stopped. Of course, you can opt to go under the knife or use terribly harmful chemicals and unnatural methods. While you might look several years younger if you do all that to your body, it does involve a lot of chemicals, not to mention, possible side effects or deformations which you might regret afterwards. So, what else can you do to keep wrinkles at bay? Do what your grandma did! Take things from nature and use them on yourself — amazing results and zero side-effects. The only thing you need here is perseverance and consistency! Think you can do it? Then, read on!

Face Exercises

Face exercise is often touted as highly expensive, and only celebrities can do it. Facial massages and cupping are involved here, but there are no chemicals involved. This cosmetic procedure provides great results when done properly by experts. But if you don’t want to shell out $380 for a single sitting, it is something that you can practice on your own. There are tons of exercises and even yoga poses that can help you reduce your double chin, tighten your skin, and help it glow, too. And the best part is that you can do them at home with the help of a youtube video. For example, to get a tighter neck, lift your lower lip to form a pout and hold it for 10 seconds. Repeat. Later, hold the pout as you lower your jaw.

Face Acupuncture

As the word acupuncture suggests, it does involve needles, but with a different intent, and not the likes of Botox. A study has shown that acupuncture is highly productive in bringing back skin elasticity and keeping it hydrated. However, acupuncturists specializing on the face are rare to find, and it is quite expensive, too. But on the upside, it is a completely natural procedures and can have great results if you are not afraid of needles. Also, those who have undergone the treatment swear by it. The needles can be felt when they pierce the skin, but an arm and hand massage will keep you distracted and help you fall asleep. Once the needles are in, you won’t feel anything at all.

Vitamins Intake

Vitamins are so important, and by taking them orally, you can actually visibly improve the quality of your skin. That sounds easy and doable! For your skin, you can take vitamin C, E, and carotenoids. These improve collagen production and work as anti-oxidants. However, if you are buying your vitamins from a drug store, ask your doctor to help you find a reputable and trusted brand. Don’t go for the ones that are cheap as they might not be as effective. One more thing to remember is that vitamins won’t give you dramatic results like Botox. It can just be a preventive measure, hence, start taking them early after you have spoken to your doctor.

Natural Ingredients

It is common knowledge that you can use fruits, vegetables, and natural oils to treat your face. Try using them from a young age, and keep doing it consistently. Your skin will thank you later! But again, you need to start young. For example, don’t go for lip fillers; try peppermint oil and cinnamon powder instead. Apply it on your lips with a cotton pad, and it will make your lips look naturally plump for a few hours. Instead of a chemical peel, use lemon juice or pineapple on your face. Leave it on for a few minutes and wash off. The citric acid will help your face look fresh and glowing. And finally, forget microdermabrasion, and use sugar as a natural scrub to get those dead skin cells off your face instead.

Nature is a blessing! All we want is out there. Make sure to check if you’re allergic to any natural ingredients you plan to use. We can really do without the weird side effects of chemicals if we want. Just choose the right ones and you will never regret it!
